This is an example of a great stoppage. Allowed the fighter a reasonable chance to recover and fight back, but didn't let him straight up die in the cage.

Quick shoutout to my long time boy Josiel Silva. I have a soft spot for Brazilians who fight in Russia because they, despite what Brad Pickett has said on broadcasts 5000 times are literally there to make up the numbers.. but they aren't obligated to listen. To make an analogy they're like 1-2 * NCAA recruits because if they were higher they'd be fighting in a US promotion (or maybe, just maybe ONE) but sometimes, not very often they prove the matchmakers wrong and thrive. Guys like pre UFC run Bruno Silva, Felipe Froes, Jubileau and now Josiel Silva became champion in the top Russian MMA promotion, something incredibly hard to do despite just being fodder when brought in. That's a hell of an accomplishment.

Yeah Josiel is the man. I think he might be the best body puncher in MMA.

Never really thought he would go anywhere. Shocked that he snatched the title. But Vitruck wasn't really a strong champ to begin with. Looked like he was hurt early to the body and never really recovered. Funny how Oleg Borisov basically derailed the entire Akhmat banamweight division.

Yeah I think really Baydulaev and Kerimov are the best two guys in the division but it's nice to see Josiel get his moment.
