When a judging controversy happens I always ask what the qualifications of the officials are . We all know they are being appointed by commissions as political favours because it’s a desirable job .
I’m not saying you need to be a professional fighter to be a competent judge , there are literally thousands of people across the world who have been training martial arts for decades who could judge.
I’m willing to bet that most of the people judging don’t have a gi or pair of boxing gloves at their house .
It’s like judging Olympic diving and not knowing how to swim

The fact that Kai lost this fight and half his paycheck because one judge gave that round to Albazi is absolutely disgraceful and he should actually appeal it. Keep in mind that Kai also technically scored a takedown and Albazi was 0 for 2 on takedown attempts in that round.

I couldn't agree less with that kind of comment. Decision or not it must be judged correctly, that's the point. Robbed fights like that there are always the bookmakers dirty hands on it.

What you say is true, but if you just go in and finish the fight then everything you say is also irrelevant.

It was close fight 3-2 for KKF. The last Sean O Malley fight and also the Paddy fight was a robbery. This wasn't.

i dont think it was close at all.. thats the problem... one judge gave round 4 to albazzi, he was 0for 2 in the takedowns and land 5.. 1,2,3,4, 5 shots compared to like 30 from Kai, plus Kai was 1for 1 in the takedowns..

Albazi did absolutely nothing outside of that submission attempt. Aside from that one submission attempt, he got shut out. Kara was tagging him at will with the jab.

Round 2 I thought Albazi landed the harder, cleaner shots. Have a hard time seeing how anyone can describe that as getting 'shut out.'

That aside I thought the first round was uneventful. Nobody got hurt, nobody made a point.
