I think this game may be getting overlooked. There's so much coming out that some stuff is going to get buried. This instantly became one of my favorite games of 2025. It's very reminiscent of Capcom's Dungeons and Dragons beat'em up game that released on arcade cabinets back in the day. There's branching paths that lead to different boss fights and some quests will grant you access to new paths and shortcuts. It adds roguelike elements to keep each playthrough a bit different than the last. It' a really addicting game loop. It also has couch co-op for two players. I can't imagine how much fun that would be. I'll have to get my brother over some time and play it with him. Anyway, I recommend watching the videos below to see if you're interested. Be sure to listen to some of these tracks as well. They got so much talent involved in this game. They even got Mick Gordon to do a track for a boss fight.

Fraz will like this.

@Fraz

Yes loving it, great Roguelite, combat, mid run upgrades and meta progression very satisfying. Haven't beat it yet but coming close.

I did about 5-6 runs and really like it so far.

Not sure how motivating it will be for me in the long run since the fun has mostly been the beat em up gameplay and not assembling crazy builds and stuff. But if I'm done with it after an entertaining 15-20 hours that's also fine.

Game is addicting. I "beat" it last night for the first time using Brome. I will keep playing until I get the platinum trophy and do everything there is to do. I hope they continue to support it. We've seen Streets of Rage 4 and Shredder's Revenge get DLC. Would love to see new heroes and a new continent added.

I still haven't reached the final boss lol. Ive died like right before you fight him I'm assuming a few times now. Game is very fun Cider is probably my favourite character.

And as Zazen said really hoping they add dlc would love some new areas/characters etc.

Only thing I don't really like is that the upgrade tree finishes really quickly wish there was more on it.

Loved the game. Couldn't put it down. I'll probably take a break for a little while but I'm glad to hear the game is selling well and that future DLC is on the way. I will definitely come back for whatever they have in store for us.

Yeah I agree with the upgrade tree finishing too fast. I think I completed the entire tree in like 7 or 8 hours which feels too short for this genre. I know that you can save up and spend them on trinkets at the museum to increase the chances of a more successful run and that's what I did to beat the game with each of the four characters. Still wish they added something else though like maybe more cosmetics to unlock. I guess that's what the updates are for though. There's also one minor complaint I have about the final boss when you reach him. Let's just say he does something very cheap and it's unavoidable. Overall it's a strong 9/10 for me. Maybe even as high as 9.5. I think it's one of the best beat'em up games in a long time, probably since Streets of Rage 4 which is no surprise considering they worked on it. Both this and Shinobi are going to be in my top ten this year, maybe even top 5. Kind of funny that Shinobi also had a team that worked on SoR 4. Both ended up being amazing.

This game is... AWESOME!!!!!

I strongly recommend this game if you enjoyed Streets of Rage 4. This is SoR4 but on crack with fanatic action and mayhem. Glad i remembered this thread and told myself I'd get this game once my gaming schedule cleared up and I am super glad I did.

Beat the game in 8 hours and then focused on collecting all the remaining relics. I am missing 6 of them. Just now i got the true ending so a final total of 14 hours to beat the game. It still has tons of replaying value. Going to collect the last 6 relics and beat the game with the other toons.

For my final run i beat it with Brome and started with the Gambler's Dice. It gives me an amount of money depending on the attack combo so I was pretty flithy fuckin' rich throughout the game. Made a fire attack build that enhanced damage when enemies are launched. Every time i popped my arcana (columns of flames) a skeleton ally would also spawn. With so much money i had 27 trickets boosting my toon and bought mercenaries along the way. Even bought the pirate chick for 500 so i was able to reach the last two bosses with 7 allies. I had a fuckin' army lol. Also had three mother's graces (bought an extra because i had so much money leftover). Didn't think I needed but I am glad I got it because that last boss was an A-hole. My build didn't fare too well against this boss so it took 3 and a half lives to beat it. Now I now what to expect.

All in all a super fun game that I am sure I will revisit from time to time. I think I might even buy it again on Steam. I feel like this game plays better on mouse and keyboard (but might just be me...).
