About to get my concealed carry license

I’m so jealous of you Americans. I can’t even buy a handgun here in Canada now and if I had have even before the freeze, I would have had to call the RCMP and fill out paperwork just to transport it to an approved range.

I have a ton of shotguns and rifles but very limited experience with a handgun. I’d love to carry in the woods but we can’t..
Freeze is hopefully going to melt away sooner than later. But now is a good time to really dial in what pistols you want!
Are you near Vancouver by chance?
If you become a member of DVC they’ll let your shoot as many of their pistols as you want, you just need to buy and use their ammo which isn’t that bad compared to market. There are many handguns I don’t like personally that are favourited by many.

Complete opposite side of the country. I’m a member of a range and I’m doing my restricted firearm soon so when the handgun ban is lifted, I can get some.

I’d like to have a 22LR in a revolver, 9mm in a modern glock platform and something fun like a .44 magnum.

Either a Glock 17 or 19x gen 5 MOS would be the best first pistol to get IMO

I maintain my WCL (just renewed it as a matter of fact), but I don't carry these days despite my job. I haven't been to the range in quite a while and I have this rule that I hold myself to where I don't allow myself to carry a firearm in public with all the responsibility that entails unless I've recently tested my proficiency at the range to my satisfaction.

I really do need to get back to it, though. These days I'm just down to some POM OC spray, a folding knife, and my middling grappling experience.
