? about snap in punch

Discussion in 'Standup Technique' started by DaGREATkabookie**, Aug 6, 2005.

  1. what part of your body do you start your snap with fist, elbow, shoulder, or hip/ heel. ie a straight right do you pull back from where you start the punch heel/ hip or do you concentrate on pulling back from another part of the body.

Yep. you snap and then pull back to the original stance position but snap back hand first. Not to say you should leave the rest behind for long at all tho.

snap mostly comes from the quick turn of the hip, but you shoulder is key as well.
