Think about it. Rory was coming back after a year off and a really bad beating. Wonderboy is on a big win streak, and just destroyed the former champ. Congrats UFC the plan went smoothly. Now Rory has limited negotiating power with the UFC and Bellator, and the UFC gets a fresh surging number one contender. I hope Rory's sluggishness last night was ring rust and not the beginning of the end for him.

similar to when Tito got fed to Machida.

congrats UFC, the plan went smoothly.

Rory needs to wrestle a bit more now. His beak can't take the punishment.

And where were those kicks! He did well when he was kicking. Not one leg kick and very few body shots. To slow down the fleet footed karateka.

Just concentrating on his hands fucked him the Lawler fight as well.

Machida was lucky.

He was the favorite, so no it wasn't an upset at all.

Well, he was the favorite and as far as Sherdog was concerned, he was pretty likely to win. What's your point?

This is what you get when you talk about free agency. Next time Cerrone talks about pay he'll be fed to RDA again.

Not an upset where odds were basically 50/50.

This, his wide stance with a rather low center of gravity is vulnerable to leg kicks. Lowkicks against southpaws can be tricky, but you should target such a wide stance with them, you can also try to get your lead foot outside his lead foot and throw a few leg kicks with your lead leg. A Shogun vs. Machida 1 gameplan could have been a good option, but it's always easy to be an armchair warrior, not every fighter has the tools to implement that kind of gameplan.

Slight upset in Vegas. Rory went off at -130 at fight time
