A West Point Grad Wrote 'Communism Will Win' in His Cap

India. The rape capital of the world, where the majority of the population still shits in the streets or open fields. But the military can still afford Nukes to threaten their equally retarded neighbors in Pakistan.

Yeah, India's so much better off now that it's independent;)
Well objectively yeah it is better. Rather they shit in the streets than starve in them.

You should try shitting in the streets sometime. True freedom is breathtaking.

Yeah, a lot of good those singers and actors did for the commies. If anything, that was a black eye on democracy. Even JFK knew that, and he was no fan of commies.

And yet he was the only Democratic senator to not go on record condemning McCarthy. Now, Mc had personal failures for being a drunk and going on a personal vendetta with the military, but the weeding out of communists was a very important thing, and it still is.

That goes along with my point.

If it is questionable, then take the appropriate steps.

And if you are military, then act like it and don't be winking at me

As a US soldier, there are certain rights that you give up. You can't trash talk or defame our way of life. You are taught, that even when captured, you are not allowed to talk ill of the United States.

Now, given what I said above, wouldn't you consider his actions questionable?

I'm not saying communism is bad or good. I'm simply implying that a US Army officer promoting a foreign ideology goes against the US Army officers code. That's almost are comparable as being a studied doctor of medicine that refutes traditional medicine and supports witch doctoring.

Don't go thinking that soldiers have the same human rights as regular US citizens. I'll tell you from experience that they don't. Again, I'm not saying how things should be, simply how they are.

ps. ;)

“As figures of public trust, members of the military must exhibit exemplary conduct, and are prohibited from engaging in certain expressions of political speech in uniform,” the statement reads. “Second Lieutenant Rapone's chain of command is aware of his actions and is looking into the matter.”

Did you notice the CIB (Combat Infantryman Badge) in his uniform? Former NCO in the U.S. Army. He just ruined his career as an officer before it began, but he still has to pay the U.S. Army for his 4 year education. I guess he will be doing that as an NCO. No active duty unit is going to want him as a 2nd Lieutenant. I wonder what got him fucked up to do that? Sad story...

Did he ever pick up E5? He was a Spc when he got booted out of the 75th.

The 'little shit' was a Ranger? Sure enough. I had to look that up. Interesting that he is not wearing the Ranger tab. A higher award than being Airborne or Air Assault qualified.

"He lasted roughly 6 months before leaving the (Ranger) unit under a process known as “Released for Standards,” commonly referred to as being 'RFSed.' As a U.S. Army Special Operations Command unit, the Ranger regiment maintains more stringent standards for their personnel. If at any point a leader considers a Ranger has not met a standard, he can relieve the soldier from duty and have him removed from the unit. A Ranger can be RFS’d for virtually any reason, ranging from lack of motivation to disciplinary problems."

Now, how would he get an appointment to West Point after that? That is really odd.

"After determining that you meet the basic requirements to become a cadet, you should begin seeking nominations. In order to be considered for admission at West Point, you need to be nominated. There are two types of nominations, the Congressional Nomination and the Service-Connected Nomination."

He must have 'qualified' for the second, but still, an "RFS" should have excluded him from an appointment. This second choice is news to me. I thought regardless of prior service you still needed a Congressional Nomination. How things have changed in 30 years.

He's not tabbed because he never did Ranger School (or flunked out). That doesn't make you a Ranger though.
He enlisted option 40 as an 11X in 2010 and made it through RASP in 2011. He then got his CIB with 1/75 in Afghanistan later that year and was RFS'd shortly after returning. I've heard it was because of either damn near killing a bunch of guys with a Gustav or failing out of Ranger School.

You are right. "He completed the Ranger Assessment and Selection Process, and received an assignment to A Co., 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. He received his "Ranger Scroll" in 2011." He should have gone straight into Ranger school. He probably did got to the school and was 'peered out'. That would make sense.

I never understood why the 75th Ranger Regiment accepts soldiers who are not Ranger tabbed already. It is the reverse of being assigned to a U.S. Army Special Forces unit. For assignment into SF you need to already be Airborne qualified and have the Special Forces tab. Same with the U.S. Navy SEALs.

And again, this is just taking to hear yourself talk.

I'm 36 and from a military family, your first hand blah blah is neither needed nor wanted.

Just because I might have a different opinion, doesn't mean I don't have the relevent information.

Especially because:

We. Are. In. Agreement.

Pontificate and wink at other homosexual men, I'm not interested.

From what I understand and what seems funny to me, majority of you guys thinks that communism failed and those who lived under communist rule doesn't want it to come back. Or it looks like that to me. I think I mentioned it here some time ago that in Russia according to poll (I think actually different polls shows it) majority of people, like more than 60 % wants USSR to come back. And Stalin is often in the top or even number 1 in polls/voting about best ruler of Russia, greatest Russian etc.
But maybe it's because people thinks that Russian Federation sucks compared to memories or image of USSR in their heads.

Well objectively yeah it is better. Rather they shit in the streets than starve in them.

When did Communism become a thing again?
.

In East Europe its gone, but in South America its a reocurring thing. And the funny thing is that in the US after 2008, middle class having a harder time it seems the youth have started to actually care about Marx.

Crazy times

There is always an excuse for failed communist states and in poor countries capitalism is always to blame for peoples misfortunes. People see heavy govt as a good thing and private sector as exploiters of labor

Communism was always destined to fail. Why? Because its core ideology goes against the very basic human nature, that we are motivated by greed. Hence, even Communist China nowadays practices capitalist economy, as does Communist Vietnam. Economic equality is a noble idea, it's also a fantasy. Capitalism is the playground for man's greed. The entire human civilization is built upon the thirst to have more.... and more... and more...

Allow me to quote the great Gordon Gecko:

"The point is, ladies and gentleman, that greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right, greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind."
