Tinfoil hat theory:

Perhaps the fight got canceled because the pay-per-view executives/UFC brass looked at incoming data and noticed the Mystic Mac aura isn’t what it used to be, and there wasn’t as much financial interest in this event than originally anticipated...so they’re pushing it back with the hopes it’ll create more interest down the line...

I dont believe that crap at all.

People were def interested in it.

They pulled the promotion, put it back, and then took it off again.

IF interest was low they would have done the presser in Dublin, not cancel it the day of

I wouldn't be surprised. I wasn't planning on even watching it. McGregor isn't relevant anymore. He's an alcoholic that hasn't taken fighting seriously since he lost to Khabib. And even then, I think once he made big money against Mayweather, he had already checked out of MMA.

I don't think Conor's ego could handle his fight flopping. It didn't help that he didn't even show up to the press conference. I think he's got some real issues with alcohol & drug addiction.

My theory - Chandler was training his ass off and getting ready for the fight, and Conor wasn't doing sh!t but coke and partying. As the fight got close Conor realized he wasn't even close to being ready to fight and pulled out so he doesn't destroy what ever is left of his MMA marketability ..

Nope. Someone told Big John, who told Bisping, who told the internet that his shin is fooked. So that settles that. And Conor really wanted to fight, too.

Actually, I'm willing to believe anything at this point. There are any number of reasons a much-declined Conor would pull out of the fight at the last minute.

A theory: people invent conspiratorial 'theories' because they like to imagine that they are somehow in proximity to some hidden truth that the common man cannot see, and so that they can see past the veil of illusions cast by the powers that be. Such purported contact with the truth behind appearance provides thus a false, pathetic sense of empowerment and enlightenment.
