But none of that is him trying to get the easiest path to the title, he was trying to fight whoever he could, he was even matched up with Leon multiple times it just didn’t work out.Everybody including him thought he was going to steamroll Burns. I got laughed at when I said he would be a tough opponent and dismissed because he is apparently a shitty fighter and just a LW.
It was after the Burns fight where he stopped the “I kill everybody” talk and didn’t answer when people called him out. Instead of fighting multiple times a year now, he sits on the sidelines. Burns made him realize it would not be easy to be champ.
You are aware that nate diaz has 13 losses in mma? 11 of which were in the ufc. 4 out of 13 is a bit of a stretch to reach that definitive conclusion of " pretty much guarantees"
Agreed after closer inspection. It's amazing what beating conor can do for a careerAnd yet, those 4 in question were his last 4 in sequence, dating back to 2013, so I'd say the precedent is there.

A guy who’s a MW contender should not be taking or trying to get fights with guys like Nate Diaz, especially when he’s pushing 40. He was very clearly looking for an easy fight he could dominate instead of another hard one like Burns. But none of that is him trying to get the easiest path to the title, he was trying to fight whoever he could, he was even matched up with Leon multiple times it just didn’t work out.
It’s pretty clear that Nate vs Khamzat was the UFC’s idea entirely. They wanted to kill off Nate while creating a name for Khamzat, even Nates fried ass knew that was case the whole time. Before the Nate fight was announced Khamzat was trying to fight Colby, Dana even said that was the fight he wanted but Duckington did what he does best.. he ducked the fight.A guy who’s a MW contender should not be taking or trying to get fights with guys like Nate Diaz, especially when he’s pushing 40.
