So when Reebok came along, I threw up in my own mouth. They had no association with MMA.
Now they are moving on to Venum. At least Venum, whether you like them or not are a legitimate fight brand and have been around for some time now.

But why would they overlook Tapout?

A founding name in MMA and though every billy-bob and Chav (UK) likes to wear a Tapout tee to the supermarket, they have been cult followed and still exist. Their stock must be huge on both sides of the Atlantic.

Dude are you stuck in the past or? Tapout is so 2000s and tapout t shirts took the wrong turn in terms of population buying it, sadly for the brand. There are thousand of memes about morons wearing tapout t shirts and acting tough

It’s a competitive process.......they didn’t just “pick” venom off a shelf.....

No way man. Because I was sure they just did an origami luck picker and did that.
I'll be damned.

The UFC will go with whatever company offers them the most sponsorship money. It’s very likely that TAPOUT didn’t have enough money to outbid Venum and Reebok

They should allow open sponsors again... This closed off uniform marketing scheme is bullshit...

Fighter pay wouldnt be such an issue with open sponsors...

Cut me some slack. I was watching a Face the Pain UFC promo ten minutes ago.
nice, wearing some Metal Mulisha shorts?

Who's overlooking Tapout? Did they submit a bid? Were you privy to internal discussions?

There must’ve been a massive bidding war along with Condom Depot and Dynamic Fastener.

I think Venum was offering equity stake in the company as part of the deal

doesnt take a Shark to see the advantage of that

All of those companies suck. The point is to evolve and get better companies. You probably wish they go with Ed Hardy or Affliction...
