A physical altercation between Colby and Werdum in Austrailia

Not like this asshole called all brazilians filthy animals. He even disrespected Maia and didn't shake his hand, despite Maia showing nothing but respect and even clapping for Colby during the decision.
Oh my God someone who fights in a cage didn't shake someones hand, outrageous!!!1!1!1!1

Im confused whether or not Colby is playing a character to build his name, or if he's being himself.

I whole heartedly stand with Colby. Here's why:

Brazil as a nation are some of the most aggressively nationalistic people in the world. If they were held to the same standards as white Westerners, they would be universally seen as some of the most racist, bigoted people in the world. The most disgusting thing is that at the same time as harboring this intense, jingoistic nationalism, they also adopt a self pitying victim mentality. They want to dish it out, and then cry foul when anyone throws it back at them.

Any white person that goes there is called a "gringo" and treated like an outsider. Foreigners in Brazil are treated far worse than we treat foreigners in the West. At the same time, athletes that go and perform there are treated with chants of "You're gonna die", at the very least. Often athletes will face racist abuse not just from a few fans, but from the entire crowd in unison. Does anyone remember the Japanese fighter who was subjected to "small penis" chants by literally an entire stadium?

At the same time they are a nation of rampant drug cheating. Look at how Brazilians have declined since USADA. They're some of the most shameless and ruthless cheaters at there. And at the same time, the minute anyone throws their vile racism and nationalism back in their faces, they start throwing glass bottles at them and making death threats.

Colby was 100% right to call them out. They're a dysfunctional nation where even normal people have to guard their houses with broken bottle pieces glued to the top of their walls and window ledges to stop burglars getting in, where even going out to a restaurant you can expect to be robbed at gun point by a gang of masked thieves, and where if you go there as a foreign athlete you will be subjected to obscene racism and physical intimidation. All the while they literally cannot tolerate any criticism.

Brazilians want you to worship them. If you don't, they will physically assault you. That's Brazil, in a nut shell.

I for one am glad that Conor brutally mocked Aldo and destroyed their champion in the most humiliating fashion. And I am glad that Colby insulted them too. Brazilians have rightly been humiliated by Colby and Conor and they deserve every single bit of it.

high horse? colby said some shit to werdum and he threw a boomerang at him? werdum is a thug, has always been a thug

You are a pussy bitch. Go hang out in that women’s club that Coolidge frequents.

Blablabla. <3>

No one gives a shit about your opinion.

he called him a filthy animal, he slapped colby's phone to the ground and then colby kicked him. still doesn't warrant. and werdum is a thug, that's also factual

Werdum didn't started the altercation at all. It's Colby who acted like a provocateur which made Werdum into this rush action. At the Lobby when they met with each other Colby called him Filthy animal & then Werdum rushed towards him saying" Hey". On that instance Colby threw two leg kicks to Werdum & hit him. If anything he instigated & started the whole squabble. You can't blame Werdum for his action. Even a sane person at that point would have done the same thing Fabricio did.

PS: his phone never hit the ground. That some added Materials which never happened.

nice to see some support for Werdum here. man, Colby is so annoying...

I didn't say that he started the altercation, I said that he was the first to get physical. he slapped his phone, a 250 pound man slapping your phone can easily break it, then colby kicked him and then werdum threw a boomerang at him. werdum has always been a thug, and I'm not even exaggerating, there were tons of incidents with him before. this one, ferguson one, one at the first TUF brazil.... probably more

Thank god. I hate colby.

Werdum would literally take his soul. There is NOTHING colby could do to stop werdum from killing him in any way he wanted, unless he had a gun which you can't really get and carry in Australia.

You can get guns in Australia...

If someone spat at my mom, I sure as hell wouldn't lose my cool and get physical.

Instead, I would look for other, way more malicious ways to get back at the guy that 1.) I won't get caught for and 2.) will cause a way more severe impact into that person's life than me simply beating him up would... Frame the fucker for :eek::eek::eek:philia, burn his house or some shit like that.

Beating the guy up would only serve to reinforce my own masculinity and leave the dude without any real lasting harm.

So you'll take the cowards route, gotcha.

Oh my god. Save your tears. The Brazilian people aren't calling for Colby's head because he raised genuine criticisms about their dysfunctional civil society and nationalism, it's because he literally called them filthy animals and equated the actions of criminals and the general atmosphere of misery as being solely the fault of Brazilians. Now if Colby said that Brazil has corrupt politicians and should show more respect to competitors that would be a different story, but the fact is the little bitch started spewing his mouth that Brazil is dirty and scares him, and now wants to play the victim card when those 'dirty animals' are treating him like the sheltered little dog he is. Maybe he should have done some research about how rich corporations influence elections in foreign countries and put their own careerist people in power (Rio Olympics come to mind).

Imagine if someone came to the United States and said all American people are fat pigs and shoot each other up every week, notice how unconstructive, pointless, and defamatory this is? How it makes you clench your fist in anger? This is because national IDENTITIES are WORTHLESS in deducing the general character of a nation - no society is homogeneous, it's made up of millions of different people, some who aren't even patriotic!

Cannot stand Werdum ....... he is truly a snake an a pos as a person from what I have seen...... but Colby has totally immersed himself into character I doubt he can tell what's real. No fan of Brazil as it's so filthy u can't even go in the water at the beach an people are kind of aggro ....... that said Colby did it to himself ..... u want the CHEAP gains by pulling the Chael WWE style heel tricks then ya gotta, deal with cheap shots.
