Straight right on the button. Would've put Werdum out.

I had a feeling when I saw the thread title, this thread had a chance to be about Bautista.

Pay attention to his lead leg when he's throwing the punch. That explains why it probably didn't hit as hard as it looked. Had that not been lifted from the victims legs forcing his power/weight ratio to fuck up, that most likely would have dropped him properly.

Baseball player with good chin vs CM Punk UFC 200 Dana make it fucking happen ya goof

Roughened Odor? Sounds nasty.

That was one of the nicest punches I've ever seen thrown in a "street fight" between people that don't punch for a living. Truly illustrates the superiority of the A-level athlete. Can just do these things naturally.

Or he just hasn't got any serious punch power....? He had a clean hit on a guy who didn't see the punch coming and didn't even drop him.

The followup, left-hand glove-smack to the top of the head was the truly violent blow. Almost as savage as Mike Russow's hammer fist of doom, IMHO. Surprised Bautista wasn't stretchered out of the Stadium after that one.

Bautista vs Phil Brooks UFC 201, book it. I got Brooks by head kick KO.

Haha yeah a nice straight one. i noticed that too.

Looking hard does not equate to the punch actually being hard.

It was a nice punch though - over 4000

Guy can def throw a solid punch for a guy that doesn't fight, most people in general are scared to engage. I'd say he has def been there many times before.

Considering he's a pitcher I would think he's got pretty good power. So far we've have only seen NFL rejects (Lesnar) and hasbeens (Mittrione, Schaub) in the UFC. Get some of the top guys from there in their prime and they would steamroll the current roster. Of course, fighting mentality and the ability to take shots is a whole other thing. But Lesnar didn't have much of that either and became champion.

He had a ton of favourable match ups though. As soon as he faced anyone half decent he took a battering.
