What u guys say? Fedor, Werdum, Velasquez, Miocic, JDS... they all tend to agree. Ngannou maybe should slim a bit :)

you will also need skills and some IQ to benefit from those 230 240

I think so. At this weight you can pack big power in your punches, solid wrestling strength and still be agile and quick on the feet and not be slow in the grappling exchanges.

good to see you back on sherdog, we have missed your "what u guys say?".

Fedor
Nog
Cro Cop
Randy
Cain
JDS
Werdum
Arlovski
Stipe

All between 225-245lbs in prime

It's the Goldilocks Zone for HW. Big enough to sufficiently powerful, small enough to be sufficiently agile (and not gas out in 2 minutes).

ngannou is the perfect example. he's a destroyer but cardio is too big an issue at his size.

Deontay Wilder weighed in at 214, and Ortiz was 241 and looked fat. I think you are right. That 265 limit is a joke. It makes the fat boys even lazier.

the 235 lb guy usually has the agility advantage though which is huge in fighting.
but if you got a 265 lber with the same skills as the 235lb, Id still go with the 265lb dude.

I would agree with that weight range, any bigger or taller I would hope for a degree of athleticism, skillz, and I'm pushing with having some level of cardio. Alot depends on their build and how good they are at using it...

Hell yea thats a perfect weight

Bigger is fine if you are conditioned, have the frame to carry that size / aren't too fat or even too much muscle. But hardly any humans are going to be 265, not fat, not overly muscled and well conditioned. It's rare. Lesnar, Bob Sapp, Overrem, those are the best examples. And they were all juiced to the gills. Struve's weight isn't a problem, but hes a 7 footer.

Ngannou is a bit too heavy for his frame IMO.

Wilder with 214 is going to destroy that steroid bitch

I actually think Struve would be better if he were heavier. He can carry a lot more weight in his frame and it'd increase his power and maybe even his chin, assuming they make SHW a thing again. Imagine a 315 pound Struve overpowering people. Am I the only one who thinks this?
