He sparred 100% for a long time and against high level fighters. That will shorten anyones career drastically. He basically has hundreds of tough fights that are not on the books.

That comment makes complete sense. It's saying 90% of what you do in a fight is largely mental, 10% is purely physical (strength, punching power, chin etc). You can argue the percentages are off but it's a valid opinion and not a stupid statement at all.
