I just had this idea because of the Cyborg situation--UFC should try to use more Invicta Champions to market super fights. Invicta Champ vs UFC champs.

It'd make a lot more fans interested in WMMA, and would boost both invicta and UFC.

Just like how there's so many titles in boxing, Women's MMA could go that route much more easily than male MMA. Honestly, I don't think there's a real talent gap between invicta female fighters and UFC female fighters. They could use the competition as a big boost.

sorry if this is written poorly btw, ive been up for 28 hours.

They could just buy invicta and let things work accordingly... Same thing happened when they bought strikeforce and Bendo fought Gilbert

Get some sleep homie

Having so many champs at each weight is what makes boxing so off putting. IBF world champ, HIV world champ

I'm sure the UFC will want some unknown chick to come in and actually beat one of their champs in a fight.

Angela Hill vs Joanna wow I can't fuckin wait for that barn burner

What happens to the belts after the fight? Or are you suggesting a non-title fight between two champs?

create 125 and 140, Tate could probably fight in both

Lol, like the UFC is going to let its own belt go back to Invicta in the event of some freak upset.

Simple; put it in the contract that if they win the UFC belt, they defend it within a certain timeframe in a UFC promoted event.

I get where you're going with this, but in the event the Invicta champ defends the belt? I'm all for superfights but I just don't see the UFC risking anything like that. If anything they'd sooner sign the Invicta champ and have them vacate the Invicta title.

Remember UFC views itself as the premier world class MMA promotion. Doing a superfight like this gives legitimacy to champions of other organizations which they are reluctant to do (think Ben Askren).

UFC would essentially be promoting smaller organizations if the smaller org's fighter won.

You don't get fat stacks like this from letting the little guys in on business.

I got a better idea. Tits or GTFO.

Poor Tanya Evinga, she'll lose her belt just when things starting to look good for her. she can't beat any of the top contender at UFC 135.

Maybe if an Invicta champ comes along and establishes some dominance. But right now, we are talking about Jedrzejczyk/Hill and Tate/Evinger.

Evinger has been running the table. So if they just brought her to the UFC, depending on the situation, I wouldn't be opposed to her getting an immediate shot. But Rousey, Holm, Zingano, and/or Pena will probably get their shot(s) first. So if Rousey gets her shot at the end of the year, then maybe if Holm can beat Shevchenko, and take on the Zingano/Pena winner to see who fights for the title early next year, if Evinger was still dominating Invicta, maybe then would be a good time to bring her in as the champ to fight the champ.
