Someone in the C&W thread responded to me saying a bluegrass thread would be good. So here it is (presuming there isn't one already). I hate to run and gun but I only stopped into the forum quickly just now and don't have time on hand to start posting some actual music ITT just now. But I started the thread anyway. I'll come back and post some later.

I'm pretty mainstream when it comes to bluegrass though; Del McCoury Band, Old Crow Medicine Show, that kind of thing. I'd love to see some stuff I haven't heard of from anybody who is really into the genre.

A couple classics

A little later

Something newer

I know a lil bit about the punk kind some times called bloodgrass if that helps a little

I had never even heard of bloodgrass, that's awesome!

Here's a small handful of my favourites, pretty mainstream bluegrass stuff though I guess.

Blood grass = metal

I checked out some blood grass. It wasn't bad. I wouldn't call it metal. Then again, you probably wouldn't call the metal I do listen to, metal. And I don't what the fuck to call the metal you listen to... Wow. I mean I thought GWAR was kind of a cool gimmick, back when I was a lad, but yeah... Fuck.

Each to their own I guess.

Not sure if he counts for this thread, but one of my top 5 fav artist is William Elliott Whitmore.

I don't think I'd seen that Bluegrass Green Day tribute before. I have The Offspring Bluegrass tribute though, it's quite good.

Listening to this at the moment:
