$85 to Watch Sterling and Cejudo?

It's free with my $3/month Star+ subscription here in Argentina.
I'd pay 3. I have star+ for free, which includes ESPN in Brazil, but no UFC. I mostly use star+ for IASIP.

Pereira x Adesanya will always get an $85 purchase for me.

They are so close in ability, and they both can (and have) hurt the other, that their fights will forever be a gripping matchup.

Would NOT pay to see Izzy versus Whittaker again, would NOT pay to see Izzy versus Vettori again.

Whittaker is now gun shy of Izzy, and Vettori doesn't have the skills to hurt Izzy, so both will be another cautious snoozefest.

Pereira has the size, and the skills, to make Izzy fight — and is he now has the confidence to fight — so this will always be a thrilling matchup.

Don't disagree with any of that...I just won't pay 85 bucks for a few hours long sporting event. I have it... just not worth it to me.

20-25 and I'd probably get 5 or 6 per year

Paying more than 20/25 bucks for 2/3 hours of video entertainment is a scam regardless of who fights. Maybe 30 bucks MAX for the really big blockbuster events.

First you’re an Adesanya hater… Now an Aljo hater?

I’m sensing a pattern.

You disgust me

<DisgustingHHH>

You disgust me.

You're seeing a "common thread" with Izzy and Aljo that exists with you, and your preferences, but not with me and mine.

I like fighters, killers, people who are not looking "too win on points," or avoid fighting, but fighters who bring the heat fully intent on finishing.

I don't like Israel Adesanya because of his attitude and manner of speaking (very similar yours). I also hate his fighting style, evasive, backpedaling, afraid of fighting. Pereira is the only MMA fighter that forces Izzy to actually fight.

Re: Aljo, I actually like his personality. He's well-spoken and seems like basically a nice guy.
However, his fighting style makes me sick. The thespian-actor award, after the Yan knee, was an embarrassment to his soul. Aljo then riding on Yan's back, in the second fight, to avoid fighting, was another embarrassment to Aljo's soul.
This was followed by beating up a one-armed bandit in TJ Dillishaw (not Aljo's fault, actually Dillishaw's fault).

I do think Henry Cejudo is a warrior. He comes to fight and he comes to finish. But he is much smaller than Aljo, and he has been out for like three years. I'm not paying $85 to see a bigger guy "avoid fighting" a smaller, older guy.

What I will pay $85 to see, are TWO top fighters, at the top of their game.

If I have to watch older fighters fight, it would be something like Stipe versus Jones, two absolute legends in their respective divisions, each coming to win, facing each other in a truly meaningful war.
Agree it's not as important as it would've been a few years ago, but it's still an important fight, imo.

Row, row, row your boat gently down a...

$85 for PPVs is bad enough but this card in particular is a pile of shit.

You can watch it at bdubs. But if it’s you and your SO, it won’t be far off from that much anyway. And you have to deal with obnoxious fans.

Another lesson. Always make decisions when sober.

When sober, I knew this card would not be worth the money. However, after getting geeked-up on the One fight Friday, I thought maybe Cejudo could pull it off.

So, after a few premium IPAs, I bought the card Saturday night.

The only fight worth watching was Yan KO Andrade. The Burns/Belal fight was a snooze fest, and the Aljamain-Cejudo fight went exactly as I figured it would, before I had my IPAs <45>

Aljo would back-pedal all night away from an old, short guy.

Will never pay to see that again.
