Not quite true. Between poker and MMA betting I have made a decent loot for myself. Nothing too crazy though... just for fun as you said.

Poker and Black jack are the only 2 casino games you can beat or manipulate the odds.

Besides you don't play Poker against the house, the house takes a cut from the pot for facilitating the game, so they never lose. But you are right you can win if you are very skilled at the game.

As for Black Jack if you are caught counting cards you get thrown out...so again house wins hehe.

Everything else is luck. The house never loses in sport betting like MMA the favorite does not pay even money so the risk for the house is less then it is for you.

No issue with ppl having a bit of a bet for fun, but ppl need to keep it real and not let their egos get in the way when gambling.

Yes the house always wins. That is not mutually exclusive from the idea that some good gamblers also win. Poker and MMA gambling both include luck and skill.
