8 weeks to lose 20 lbs

3 days of people suggesting RFL and you decide to do LSD on an empty stomach and flip your meal schedule? I hope you take you're skills training more serious than you take your diet, otherwise you're going to get the shit beaten out of you in your match.

Seriously, look into RFL.
thank you for the punch in the face...I'm not setting my diet and conditioning in stone yet...I'm gonna try 30 min cardio every morning + 4 mile run 2x a week + lift heavy 3 x a week...around 1800 calories a day, 200 grams of protein a day...looked into RFL ...liked what I found..I just simply can't afford the book til this weekend...so this week I will do what I said above...seems like that RFL book is tailored toward athletes wanting to cut weight and keep LBM..so of course it seems ideal..thanks to everyone for the advice
 
Is there a summary of RFL available, or do I need the book to evaluate the system?
 
In short it's a variation of a protein-sparing modified fast. If I remember correctly a quick google search on PSMF will give you a decent idea.

In super-short: it's a crash diet where you eat mostly protein to preserve as much lean muscle as possible

There is a lot more to it than that, though.
 
if youre 250 lbs, losing 20 lbs is nothing.

i walk at 195 and i cut to 170. its only the last 10 or so that are tough. i can drop to 180 no sweat and i do a raw vegetable and water diet the last week to cut the last 5-8 lbs.

eating nothing but raw vegetables for 5-7 days is pure torture.

but i feel like a million bucks after its over. give it a try!
 
The only way you're going to lose 20lbs in 8 weeks by moving meals around is if you move all this month's meals to October. :D

I'm going to suggest RFL as well.
