I've read far too many threads on this forum by a handful of pukes who call building a wall, enforcing U.S immigration laws, etc. bigoted.
Those who oppose illegal immigration typically fire back with logical reasons for the importance of enforcing said laws...
I honestly can't remember seeing anyone quote actual law, making it a federal crime to enter the U.S. illegaly.
Believe it, or not, folks, it is a federal crime to enter the U.S. illegaly.
Whether these laws are vehemently enforced is up for debate, but the fact remains...entering the U.S. by any means other than inspection by immigration officers IS...A...FEDERAL...CRIME.
8 U.S.C. 1325 unequivocally states:
Any alien who (1) enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or (2) eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers, or (3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.
Deterring illegal immigration is NOT merely an ideology...
It is LAW.
