70's bodybuilding diet

so they were basically doing a CKD, which is one of the best ways to put lean mass on. interesting stuff. thanks

He is a pretty cool guy, and he was pretty good buddies with Arnold in the 70's.

I've spent about an hour browsing his videos. He has some really good content.

A good reminder that the basics work: Eat well, train hard and rest. It's not that complicated, or at least it isn't in the beginning.

I had just about the same Sunday as them at 2:40. Totally messed up and binged on pizza and oreos of all things cuz I was bored as hell and unforunately, sitting in the chair closest to the food table for 4 hours.

Anyway, good to hear how the more natural bodybuilders used to do it.

That was a good watch.

It's crazy to see where body building has gone these days. Those dudes in the 70's were aesthetic(no homo), now it's such a freak show.

An interesting thing about Ric, he drew the original Gold's Gym logo as well as the World Gym logo.

Pretty close to my diet , including the sunday all you can eat anything goes lol

Thanks for this, really! I was always wondering about that!

I agree. I really like old school bodybuilders such as Frank Zane, Reg Park, Steve Reeves, Arnold, etc. Those dudes all looked like statues. There is something to looking good, even though I treat it as more of a secondary goal than anything else.

I have always thought bodybuilding was just gay. But recently I have been getting a lot of respect for these old school 70s guys. I do think they really had it all figured out back then and things are starting to come full circle now

Eh. There are too many good books and research on nutrition to take it old school with 70's knowledge. It might be a huge mistake, especially for beginners.

The Carb Cycling Diet by Roman Malkov is basically what he talks about. The book has the real science to back it up too.
