With all the criticism Jake has gotten for beating washed up MMA fighters in boxing (which hes aware of) I highly doubt hes gonna fight a 53yo MMA fighter next...

He had no problem fighting a 47-year old Anderson Silva so I wouldn't be surprised. Or look at Jake's brother. Danis isn't old, but he's basically a pure grappler who had 2 MMA matches against nobodies back in 2018-19. He submitted both in the 1st round. His boxing ability is about the same as a 30-year old salesman who's had a few boxing classes at his MMA gym along with BJJ and wrestling. The Pauls fight for money and name recognition and have no shame nor do they care about sportmanship (i.e., challenging yourself against a worthy opponent).

But please, let's hope not. Dan doesn't need to fight anywhere, but if he does, let's hope it's some other 50-year old retired MMA guy.

I hope that's not the case. Dan fought 47 times, including fights with a bunch of big-name opponents in his 40s (last one was a title fight vs. Bisping). You'd hope he did very well and put some money away or invested it. But who knows.
