I mean, it's credit but not a real credit card. It's restricted to the PS Store. Anyway I read somewhere that having more credit is good for your score.

Thats been one of the thing in those rows of boxes on the PS3 menu for a few years now. Here's a link from 2012 where you got the $50 and a year of PS+.

I got one, I actually use it quite often, you accumulate points pretty quickly if you are a regular buyer on PSN. Then you get free shit on their rewards site. When I signed up they didn't give me store credit, though I kinda wish they did, but I did get a choice of free PS4 game. I ended up getting Battlefield 4.
