Some people have very little depth to their musical tastes, They don't acknowledge lyricism as musical skills. even though it absolutely is. also production... hip hop has spawned many of the most talented artists of our generation. A lot of people choose to dislike it, rather than give it a fair shake. people treat classic rock the same, which is ironic because rap and classic rock are my 2 favorite genres.
