5 car accident...

$100 says TS is Canadian and his accident was on the 401 thru toronto.
 
Was actually driving a few weeks ago and had to slow to a stop because of a light, when I heard a crunch behind me. Looking back I see that the car behind me got rear-ended by the car behind it, but thankfully there was enough space between us that the impact didn't send them into me. Third driver must have been on his/her phone or something because it was just a regular roll to stop for me, no slamming of brakes and as far as I could tell the car behind me didn't either.

I hope you're alright. I got rear-ended and my neck was jacked for about 2 months.
 
Here where they're doing rail construction, they close lanes and don't put up signs so you know from afar you need to merge and you're going at normal speed then suddenly see your lane is blocked and almost run over cones and have to suddenly change lanes. I hate that. I'm trying to avoid those routes.
 
I live in Vegas. No one follows the safe distance rule. If you aren’t 2 feet from the car in front of you prepare to get honked at. People are insane.
 
i would have pulled out my chaingun and said "shit" then go gears on them.

but to each his own.

Glad to hear you're okay fella, my sister and nephew escaped with their lives by a split second yesterday because of some asshole overtaking on a road where overtaking is not permitted, to say I was a little shook at the thought of almost never seeing that little guy again...<mma1>

There are places where they have warning signs a mile or more before warning of a lane closure but many drivers are to stupid to move over until the lane is blocked.

It's like that everywhere. You won't gain any time doing it and might be delayed by a collision. Even at a stop light, it's a good idea to leave enough room to go around the vehicle in front of you if they can't move. I've witnessed a line of about 25 cars stopped behind a car stalled at a traffic light with it's 4 way flashers on. Nobody could go anywhere because there wasn't room to turn out or back up.

Sucks man. Similar thing happened to me. Except I saw the mustang coming and knew he wasn't going to stop in time. I could just tell and braced myself for impact. The guy in front of me got some damage. He must have been in trouble though cause he looked at the damage got back in his car and drove off.
 
I think your neck and back are in pain. You need to go to the Doctor and hire a lawyer. Don't sign any papers with any insurance company that might try to pay you off.

A fox ran across the road in front of me yesterday morning. Didn't see any other vehicles on the road the entire way to work tho.
