I would love to see this fight only for the fight itself. Sean Strickland does better in fights where he is doubted. He was counted out vs Imavov he went on to decision him, then the Abus fight and went on to finish him and then came Izzy he was told that he was not even suppose to be there but still went out there and beat the hell outta of Izzy.

He will be a big underdog against Chimaev not to the extent he was previously because now people know Sean Strickland is a fuking dog..

They have trained with each other before and know each other Chimaev even congratulated him on his championship win. There was massive respect for Strickland Unlike Pereira.

How do you see there potential fight ever playing out incage details and where the fight will take place and who do you think will win and how.

Strickland is alot better then people give him credit for and he is one of the few fighters that I have seen who has made such a huge improvement in short amount of time. He is always in the gym and it has clearly paid off but now that being said how do you fancy him against Chimaev

I actually like it as well. Sean has pretty solid counterwrestling and scrambling since Usman manhandled him. He seemed to have really improved on his TDD and ability to scramble back to his feet.

He and Khamzat are almost the exact same size, so that being a stand up striking match has the potential for a war imo.

"Hot-fiyaa" as opposed to... "cold-fiyaa"?

Strickland stuffs his weak takedowns and destroys him standing

Over 5 rounds, I think Strickland's cardio and durability would cause Khamzat problems. I'd expect Khamzat to ragdoll Strickland for the first couple rounds (or at least spend substantial time in top position), but I doubt he finishes him. As Khamzat's cardio falls off, Strickland starts to piece him up on the feet. The most likely outcomes seem like a close decision (for either fighter) or late-round stoppage for Strickland.

If Sean can’t defend that takedown he’s done

Not true. Khamzat can likely take him down at will in the first and maybe second, but if Sean survives on the ground (what I think will happen) he takes Khamzat apart in the last 3 standing.

I know we're high off SS but his fights are rarely hot fire. Guy apologized in the ring for fighting boring.

Khamzat cardio is suspect still, so if he doesn't get the submission early he probably get KOED

But lets see the costa fight first

Nah Khamzat already beat him up in training. Khamzat took him down and submitted him. Strickland might have done better in the sparring but Khamzat can always end the round.

Khamzat doesn't have the cardio to last 5 rounds against Strickland but Strickland's upright stance, high hands and squared hips make him prone to takedowns. What happens after a takedown will determine the fight.
