He knocked out Adesanya (in another sport) and the UFC would love to have them fight again. Not unreasonable to fast track him.

Adesanya fought for a belt in his 6th UFC fight, it's not unreasonable Pereira could do the same if he can beat 3 ranked guys. Tavares matchup is very reasonable.

make a list of these world champions, there are approx 689 fighters in the UFC. if almost everyone was a world champion then you are claiming at least 90% of those were a world champion of something. biggest shit statement of the year so far. and you cant even come close to proving it. i cant even believe someone comes up with these shit statements. in what reality do you claim this to be true? and then you change your tune to almost everyone, to it being pretty common. its not even pretty common.

Izzy went 2-0 in the UFC and got rewarded with the number eight ranked middleweight contender in the UFC, Brad Tavares...
Robert Whittaker was 1-0 at middleweight when he got rewarded his first ranked contender in Brad Tavares(who was ranked fourteen at the time).

I don't agree with him getting a number one contender fight against Cannonier, that's just unfair to the rest of the division.
I do think he deserves someone like Edmen, Weidman, Tavares, Hall, Jack or Till.
If the UFC want to rush Pereira towards the top five there's Costa or Brunson that are available to fight.

Saying he doesn't deserve any top fifteen opponent after beating a super dangerous competitor in Bruno Silva who's 3-0 in the UFC(was on a 7 fight win streak with all of his wins coming by TKO/KO) is backwards logic.
Middleweight needs new contenders and Pereira has earned the chance to fight a top fifteen opponent after that win.
