If Izzy wanted to immediately fight Alex after Alex KOs Silva, the UFC would sign it. Izzy could have fought him in his first UFC fight if he wanted to. Only delusional nut huggers think that the UFC wouldn't allow this if Izzy pushed for that fight.

He's scared and hopes he doesnt have to fight him again especially with small gloves

I could see Izzy either trying to bang it out and getting kod again or trying to be a wrestler and shooting takedowns for the first time ever in his career and it ending very badly.

but he’s definitely not scared, pereira most likely wont even get to a titleshot. also love how people keep bringing up the 2 losses izzy has to him but clearly didnt even watch the fights.
 
Alex needs a couple of more fights before he's ready for Izzy IMO. I think everyone is hoping that he develops rapidly and can put on a very competitive MMA fight with Izzy. That's the goal.

Izzy isn't scared, homie. Regardless of the fact that he lost to Alex in kickboxing.

yes I watched the fights.

the 2nd one ended with izzy getting kod so bad, he never fought kickboxing again.

What is this narrative izzy fan boys try to form? that it was really competitive so izzy just decided to retire from kickboxing for no reason? izzy had no offers from the ufc at that time.

also, is it cringe that Izzy could avenge his only ko loss in mma but chooses not to?

at least you admit UFC would have made the fight if Izzy wanted it. I can't see why he wouldn't want revenge.

Instead he's hoping Alex gets grapple fucked and is waiting for Alex to start slowing down as he gets older. They're only 2 years apart but those years after 30 make a big difference especially after 35 and especially at any weight class that isn't HW.

why not just jump on the opportunity to avenge such a terrible ko loss that made him retire from kickboxing?

If he's confident he can beat him at any time, why is he trying to wait Alex out? Seems like he's ducking the fight and hoping Alex never makes it to him.

UFC giving pereira a titleshot would look absolutely retarded, doesn’t matter what the storyline is. the guy is a literal nobody as far as his MMA accomplishments go.

izzy has fought way better MMA fighters than pereira, but yeah he’s scared and ducking someone who’s not even close to being ranked in like.. the top 20 lmao.

lol the ufc just invents belts and gave gsp a title shot at a different weight class after he was retired for years.

Izzy is the best striker at mw and fights guys who arent very good strikers and aren't good wrestlers either. Yes he's ducking having to fight Alex with small gloves. He left a sport so that he would never have to fight Alex again.

izzy isn’t ducking anyone because THE GUY ISN’T EVEN TOP 20 and hasn’t earned shit, most people dont even know who pereira is.

maybe izzy left kickboxing to pursue new things and make more money because UFC was bigger and more popular than kickboxing ever was? yeah he lost, must’ve been absolutely TERRIFIED to ever kickbox again!!!

Every good fighter has his haters. Sherdog is the lowest place on earth for mma fans these days. The same people who will claim Islam hasn’t beaten anyone to warrant a title shot or the Khazmat hasn’t beaten anyone, will also turn around and say some dude that is 4-1 should be fighting Izzy, because of history in some other sport. This is the dumbest post I’ve seen here in a while.

And remember, Pat was a fucking Barista, so he was not even fighting!

So they would probably bring him to Izzy if Izzy was so inclined to fight him, regardless if Izzy is the champ and if Pereira is ranked or not.

Oh, I don't think Izzy is scared at all.
But he also don't want to give Alex anything! If he wants to challenge the champion, he must climb through the rankings first (a viewpoint I 100% agree with).

And yes, Cummins was a last minute replacement. But he was not even an MMA fighter... at the time he was a fucking Barista!

Izzy would take the fight and beat him and you guys will say something about how if he stuck to kickboxing rules he would of lost, then the win wouldn't even matter. But to be honest if no contenders come might as well throw him at Izzy. I just think after Izzy wins you guys will be disappointed, also if Alex even won the title he would be the easiest title to win in the UFC, just be a decent wrestler and you can be champ.
