It’s kind of cringe when we look back at this. Ufc on fox was something back in the days lol

Growing pains. People dislike what ESPN+ has done with the paywall but the product is so much better and easier to consume. It's professional, well put together and isn't amateur hour.

MMA has come a long way since these shenanigans - logos lit on fire; snafus like the one in the OP; Gus Johnson yelling on CBS that "things like this happen in MMA" as they speak about the Shield/Diaz/Miller brawl.

The only thing I don't like is the continued surplus of cards. Yeah, I understand that they're contractually obligated to, and that's the whole advantage for ESPN, but the product is so watered down. 24-28 cards a year, all being relatively stacked would be so much more interesting than the 45+ with endless filler and non-descript, soulless shit we have now.

I think they're putting on over 40 cards a year, honestly. I know there's weak cards, but the UFC's match making has never been better and there's never been better fighters.

I get why people complained about Saturday's card, but it was going up against NBA All-Star weekend and it's main event had to get moved to last minute circumstances. I get why the card would be weaker than normal.

Overall, the more MMA the better. I think matchups matter more than names. Yes, it takes more work to be a fan nowadays with so many cards and a bigger roster, but you get what you put into it, in my opinion. I watched the UFC card and Bellator back to back, and downloaded an app I've never heard of to watch the PFL Challenger series the day before. I do realize I'm an outlier nowadays.

Lol poor Joe looked so uncomfortable up there. He also stumbled on his words a bit which the video doesn’t show.

It's still insane to me that Frankie won the title at 155. Weird how much he looked like GSP back then.

The more the sport moves away from the fringes the less it will look like MMA.

There will be a time when MMA won't allow for people like Dana White in it, and instead we will have the same souless China pandering people get in the NBA or the wokeisms of the NFL.

No more no-no words, even more early stopages, generic press conferences with no Masvidals or Nate Diazes or McGregors, fighters kneeling in the center of the Octagon, silencing of fighters who go against the mainstream direction of the company and even less personality. Goodbye Rogan who is too 'problematic', goodbye Bisping because he called a guy a no-no f-word once, goodbye ring girls who were there helping the sport for the beginning. They will all join Face the Pain in the wastelands.

The more popular and more money goes in the more brainwashed the UFC will become. Although this is inevitable I don't look forward to it.

It's production, has nothing to do with the ufc.
You prolly weren't born yet but watch superfoot Wallace's intro to the ufc .. then Phil baroni and Rogan doing commentating. Order fight pass bud get caught up lol

Man, that plays like a SNL sketch of a UFC show, complete with someone like Bobby Moynihan playing a Rogan-esque looking human.
