Do you think Usman retires before he faces Khamzat?

He’s already spoken about possibly retiring in the near future in interviews. I expect Khamzat to be near a title shot within the next year and a half.

Usman is recovering from hand surgery and won’t fight until at least late spring/summer. I can see him retiring after the Edwards fight claiming something like “I’ve cleaned out the division and there’s no challenge anymore”. Especially if Khamzat gets past Burns he’ll shit his jocks when he sees Khamzat rapidly approaching in the rear view mirror.

I very much doubt he would want to risk losing his WW GOAT claim by fighting Khamzat down the line. What do you think?

Depends on how fast khamzat can get there

It would be too obvious if he simply just retired, and he's not stupid. He knows how that would look, so my guess is him trying to get a "super fight".
Either a try for the belt at MW or a big jump up to a top 10 LHW... just to see what his pressure could do there.

After it's done he'll retire, yeah.

I think Usman will fight twice this year, the first being against Leon in the summer and the second being Luque around fall(assuming he beats Belal).
After those two I think he'll call it a wrap.

Even if Khamzat annihilates Burns, the Luque/Belal fight would've already happened by then. Meaning the winner of the Luque/Belal fight will probably get the shot over Khamzat.
Also because Luque, Belal and Usman are managed by Ali Abdelaziz. That guy(Ali) will make sure the winner of Luque/Belal gets a shot at the title next.

My point is you're implying Usman is weak when this fuckstick is soft as shit.

<seedat>
I literally said Usman has a WW GOAT contender claim in the OP.

also lol @ calling Khamzat a soft as shit fuckstick from behind your keyboard. You don’t have to try so hard bro

Actually, this is what you said:

Don't try so hard my little keyboard warrior.

I hope Usman fights him to a decision and then abruptly retires, but doesn’t really retire, immediately after winning a controversial decision.

Then I hope he comes back in a couple of years and fights for the MW title and wins it against a mid-tier fighter who happened to get the title on a fluke and then proceeded to duck the rightful challengers.

I hope Khamzat opens a steakhouse too.
