He was always down to fight no matter who it was.

True. So its kind of hard to feel super sympathetic when Jeremy "whiff" Stephens, says he was "iced" by the UFC. Bullshit remark for a guy given so many high level fights. More than ample opportunity was given, and Stephens reached his sell by date without ever hitting the high notes. He'll get smashed in the PFL too. Think he's better than Pettis?

I think current Jeremy probably beats current Pettis TBH. Jeremy even won a round against prime Pettis and gave him a very close fight. Anthony had to wrestle him even went for alot of TDs IIRC. This was when Anthony was on the best run of his career too.

Neither are the top dog at PFL tho.

Yeah Maybe? They are both capable of violent shockers. Followed by by high level losses...

Wasn't really a Jeremy Stephens fan but enjoyed his fights. Always brought the fight and put on some great shows. Typically got matched up with another well known fighter. When you seen his name on the undercard you knew there was a fun scrap to look forward to. Huh, maybe I was a Jeremy Stephens fan.

He's probably one of the best examples of a "gatekeeper" we've seen in the UFC.

I’m not gonna lie. When you read the list of names he’s fought out loud it’s actually very impressive. A perfect example of a B+ tier fighter.

I always thought stephens was super tough, but his downfall was that hes kinda dumb.

The highlight of his career is his highlight reel ko of future champ RDA.

(Before RDA had started eating trenbaloni sandwiches and had a 'body transformation'.)

And this ladies and gentlemen is why fighters pick and choose carefully. They learn from those who doesn't.

Hespect to Jeremy for trying to evolve with the game with a limited skillset. He has some great wins in there.

They let him go but allow Roxanne Modaferi and Angela Hill to fight on the main cards.

Bob Arum was right when he said the UFC is garbage and junk.
Fair point with Roxanne at this point, but Angela Hill has lost insanely close decisions, most of which she should have won imo.
A better example would be that mongoloid Sam Alvey

I think the "iced" coment was regarding the last few years.

Stephens would always fight twice, three times a year, but only fought once in 2020 and once in 2021.
Said he was always asking for fights but the UFC kind of left him on the corner.

It's understandable why he would look for a change. The last two years he was making one third of the money he was in 2018-2019.
Fighters need to fight.
