Gane does not have a better resume than Khabib. Theres no amount of mental gymnastics that can validate such an intellectually dishonest point.

Their respective UFC runs are similar in that both were heavily criticized for not finishing opponents despite knocking out and subbing several opponents. As well as both having an extended layoff in the middle of their respective rises to the top for reasons beyond their control.

Gane has a very long way to go if he wants to accomplish as much as Khabib did, but if he manages to win the HW title and successfully retire the likes of Stipe and Jon Jones he will be on his way.
