Is anybody's mood for MMA soured by this recent price increase?

In a time when the topic of fighter pay is as hot as it's ever been, lawsuits showing scummy practices, and watering down of the product, the UFC/ESPN have the balls to not only increase their rates on the subscription by another $10/yr, they are also raising the pricing on the individual shows. The UFC has seen six or seven different price hikes in a three year period.

I'm pretty sure I'm never buying another PPV ever again and I'm actually tempted to throw my ESPN+ subscription in the garbage as well. I've already been burned by ESPN not showing certain sessions of an F1 weekend meanwhile I can just pay F1 the exact same money as ESPN and get everything and more for the races.

Not only has my interest for PPVs never been lower but I almost don't really care much about MMA at this particular moment. It's hard to keep interest in a sport that rewards participation by charging more money. Anybody else feeling generally disinterested right now?

I usually just head to the movie theater and watch them live for $25 a ticket which is cheaper than having to pay $75 for the PPV to watch at home. The theater we watched 269 at had waiters and such and was about 25 minutes from home, so the wife and I had a good time.

I end up spending a bit more to watch at the theater as $25 a pop per ticket and food is more, but it gets us out of the house for a while and I get to watch the event with a theater setup which is much better.

I didn't know they did the movie theater showings still. I'll have to see if one is local playing. I'd love to try it out.

Makes no difference to me tbh.
Thankfully it’s been many years since I’ve noticed such a nominal price difference on something I enjoy a couple times a month.

I remember they used to have UFC events at the theaters in my city, but that stopped long ago. I honestly didn't know they still did that anywhere at all anymore, haven't seen it advertised anywhere.
