You guys remember this thread;

Now you will say how is that related to him losing to Usman?

Inactivity for 1 year and 1 month

Look at Colby's first fight with Usman;

Scorecard of Usman-Colby 1;

Colby wins the first round in all 3 judges scorecards,
Colby wins the second round in 2 judges scorecards,

He was 2-0 while starting to the third round with Usman.

Usman-Colby 2 scorecards;

Almost the opposite.

Usman starts to the third round with 2-0.

The difference is clear that Colby needed time to adapt, despite losing the first 2, he still managed win 2 rounds out of last 3 rounds.

If he could steal only 1 round at the beginning, he could've win this, but the ring dust, inactivity (and karma) stopped him.

When Colby fought Usman in the first fight, he was coming from a win against Lawler, it was only 3 months ago.

In the second Usman fight, he was coming from a win against Woodley, which was 1 year and 2 months ago.

If Colby was more active in the last 2 years, he would definitely put a far better fight in the first 2 rounds, win one of the rounds, and possibly win the all fight. It was Colby's ducking mentality and his wish to get an easy title shot via Dana White privilege caused his defeat.

He still gave Usman another hell, Usman is just the better fighter.

This whole karma things is just distracting from whatever point it is you're trying to make. Karma is some crystal-reading hippie nonsense. Keep that stuff up in Taos in your geodesic dome.

I can never take this guy's arguments seriously...

That settles it. Rematch next week and Colby finally shows that he is the better fighter after losing the first two fights.

It was a great fight between two of the best fighters on the planet.

Anyone who has ever called Usman or Covington a boring fighter should be ashamed.

Wow, Colby really messed up by fighting for the title instead of the much better option of not fighting for a title...

Maybe They keep giving Colby rematches until he finally wins. Then people can say he’s better even if the record is 30-1

Just get rid of Sal, he is garbage

Or alternatively, Usman is just a half-step better fighter than Colby, and you are searching for complexity in something that is relatively simple and straightforward.

The media is biased against Colby, its been like that since ages, they didn't even count his takedown as a takedown. Get outta here with that media bs. He said it before the fight as well. The best argument you could make for Usman is a draw and even that was far fetched since r2 was not a 10-8.

He beat Usman 3-2. Colbys stock just rose while Usmans went way down, real fans know whats up

You dont snatch the belt by "winning" a razor thin round and spamming half assed td's.
The fact is he got dropped multiple times and usman had the quality shots through the fight.
Colby utilized the uppercut to stop
Usman from getting in range to throw haymakers but thats about it.
he lost, plain and simple. Move on
