The Nate Diaz matchup would be ridiculous. Nate is never accepting that anyway, especially for the last fight on his contract.

Neil Magny doesn't do much for him to climb up the rankings.

Leon is booked in December so he won't fight again until March at least.

Then you have burns and luque. Both available. Two very tough fights, which will allow us to see what is really khamzat ceiling and to boost him at the #1 contender status at the same time.

Make one of those two fights if you really consider him a killer. Of not you're trying to protect him.

Yes these two would be a huge stepping stone for Khamzat to get a TS if he beats any of these two.

One of these two I'd love to see Khamzat fight next.

Burns is interesting because I'm assuming he has much better and complete standup game, and if he gets taken down he can be a wizard down there for Khamzat who started training BJJ like 3 years ago

BJJ Wizard? 3 years? Reminds of Jones vs Shogun.

Nope...

Magny ..

Magny already said hes down...dec 18th ..

If khamzat is really i kill everyone...smesh all blah blah blah khabib non sense...

Then sign it up

The UFC have told Khamzat they really want him against Nate, and if doing as they want he'll get a bigger pay.
Just so you guys understand the game. He'll get his best payday and hence will do everything to promote that one fight.

It doesn't matter if it makes sense with Chimaev. He already have a platform, he should just get himself back there with whoever and keep the narrative going.

He can get a TS with 1 or 2 more fights, regardless of ranking. That's how this game is plaid.

MMA math doesnt work...

(White belt confirmed)
Your statement doesn’t change the fact that Magny is a waste of matchup for Khamzat and there’s literally zero percent chance Dana books that next.

Luque would get ragdolled don’t kid yourself
Burns would be more challenging

That's irrelevant to the matchmaking. Luque Is a higher ranked, available, welterweight on a 4 fight streak.

If Khamzat wants to fight Magny real quick for the sake of staying active, then go for it.

Burns is the fight to make though. I'm pretty sure Khamzat's going to ragdoll just about everyone at WW besides him, Colby, and Usman (and he still might ragdoll Burns and Colby).

The Nate Diaz fight makes sense to me. It would be a step up for Khamzat plus it makes for an interesting matchup, as Diaz is pretty slick off his back.

I don't see Nate winning this, so it would also be a way for the UFC to have Khazmat get a big name under his belt and help them build a new draw.

Burns is interesting because I'm assuming he has much better and complete standup game, and if he gets taken down he can be a wizard down there for Khamzat who started training BJJ like 3 years ago
Khamzat had his first amateur MMA fight more than 4 years ago and he’s an elite wrestler. With 5 submission wins on his record, nothing suggests it would be easy for Burns on the mat.

Khamzat is also a lot bigger than Burns. It’s hard to say who’s the better striker out of the two as well. Burns has been finished by strikes twice in his career.
