New P4P rankings a political move because of Jon’s arrest?

Partially…I think the voting council is biased by popularity. The voters have difficulty putting fandom aside and objectivity ranking the fighters. I think the controversy played a role in influencing those biases
So it’s a objective fact that the rankings in the UFC are not substantiated by merit. I wonder if this can be used as fodder for any lawsuit against the company.

-well he hasn't fought in 20 months.
-the razor thin wins against Reyes and Santos have not aged well (both went on losing streaks)
-his last dominant victory was against Gus 3 years ago... and that didn't age well either.
- recent controversy skewing opinions.

if he comes back and gets the HW strap he'll be back at #1 though.

The question is though what did Kamaru do within this last week to surpass Jon?

Well yea it’s a panel of voters…. Not exactly a mathematical formula

That said this won’t have any effect on the lawsuit. That lawsuit is about whether not UFC’s business tactics violate Sherman’s Antitrust Act. The rankings have no connection that

You still believe in this magical independent voting council that sends their picks in to the UFC and they adjust their rankings in a fair and impartial manner?

<36>

Your gullibility is the stuff of legend.
People really think there’s a council of elders bestowing rank upon fighters lol
Meanwhile Dana is on his Palpatine grindset

That's not proof that it is a political move... it's proof the UFC's "independent" rankings are completely meaningless and bullshit.

There is actual proof they exist. The members have been interviewed and they have explained their involvement. Remember when the suggestion cards got leaked? What part of that is magical

Also if bothered to read my post I explained how I thought they were biased. Like what? A fair and impartial system would require sone kind of point system or tournament style.

He should never have been #1 in the first place. He hasn't fought for a year and a half, and his last two fights have been controversial. Usman, Adesanya, Volkanovski are all better than him right now.

UFC rankings have as much to do with brand protection and financial gain, as actual accomplishments.

The statement on the UFC site mentioning a bunch of people/sites barely anyone has ever heard of?That interview was from a while back and they even admitted the UFC sends guidelines and influences their decision. At this point, I doubt many of these sites even participate anymore.

Dana and friends ultimately decide the rankings. You've even seen it when the rankings are changed on the weekend but you refuse to think for yourself.

Look I try to maintain a standard of evidence when I evaluate things. I like to base reasoning tangible facts rather than just pure speculation to minimize personal bias. I don’t think that’s unreasonable. Find evidence to back your point I’m more than happy to revaluate and change my mind. Until then I have to work with information available to me.

Asking for evidence isn’t an unreasonable thing to do
