With his second title defense in the books, let's take a look at his growing resume.

Alexander has just beat the best:
wrestler in divisional history
muay thai striker/kickboxer in divisional history
volume striker/boxer in divisional history
jiu jitsu specialist in divisional history

That's about as good of a win streak as it gets.

What are you're thought's on the current 145 kingpin, his outstanding submission defense, any similar win streaks?

How many wins does he need before you admit he’s the greatest?

Its fucking crazy.

Hes on a 20 fight win streak.

And he has beaten two all time greats of the division including Max twice.

Almost got ko'ed by the wrestler
Had a boring ass fight with the kickboxer
Arguably lost to the boxer
Almost got choked out by the jiu jitsu specialist

Having said that, I can see him defending the belt 2-3 more times.

Halloway won.

But volk is really friggin good too
Hallways are scary to be fair.

Holloway lost both fights.
Volk won 1-3 in the first and 3-5 in the second. Hard to argue with the striking differentials. They were competitive fights though and they'll probably fight again.

Ha ha and all of a sudden a fighter from my hometown who mma fans said had no chance of being champ becomes mma fans new set of nuts to hang off. #ironybitches

Max vs Volk seems to be the only fight to make sense. It's fortunate to have two guys be the best on around the same level.

He's amazing, but, I think Max won the second fight, still, Alex is great and not sure why so many give him disrspect tbh.

He is a very good all around Champ ,
i would liked his matches to have been a little more impressive and fun!

Nice Thread TS !

He's entering GOAT status.

People will argue Max beat him but it was close and could have gone either way so complaining about is just being a Max stan at this point.

He beat Aldo, but not prime Aldo.

He beat Mendez but not at the height of his career.

He beat Ortega to a pulp at Ortega's high point of his career.

I think he still needs a couple more big wins to make GOAT status but with Giga coming up and if they can get McKee there are good opponents coming up.

too many decisions, not interested in his fights

The next fight I’d like to see him in will probably never happen, but I’d love to see Volk vs AJ McKee.
