Curtis wouldn't have shot that ill-fated takedown on Black Beast.
He's facing another heavy, powerful striker in Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 266.
Will we see a new gameplan from Mr. Blaydes?
Will he be tentative to shoot?
As the #4 heavyweight in the UFC, and the best wrestler in the division, there is a lot on the line for the 30 year old.
This is a pivotal fight in his career to show whether he has been able to build upon his talents.

As it is a p oral fight for biggie boy too … they both have something to prove to the ufc now after 2 disastrous performances

He is going to get Ko’d again.

Curtis Blaydes is supposed to be a great wrestler isnt he? Is heavyweight wrestling just that pathetic? Not even trying to hate but his wrestling seems pretty bad.

Heavyweight is a paper thin division because any suitably young talented athlete that size isn't going to choose MMA as their first option.

The UFC paying these guys peanuts is why the bar is slow low.

Heavyweight MMA in the UFC in 2021 still largely features one skill fighters that are generally sloppy, old for athletics and overall unimpressive.

The good news about curtis is he is still pretty young for a HW. The bad news is Ngannou has shown no signs of slowing and Gane is the same age as Blaydes, and looks better.

IDK.
Curtis is looking like he may end up being a professional gatekeeper.

We'll see.
I don't its impossible to see him win the belt but the road there is harder than his ranking indicates with 2 losses to the champ, and I don't see him beating Gane, Ngannou or Stipe atm.

Again, we'll see.

lol here since 2012 and:

What the fuck is this?

What the fuck is THAT?
It's been confirmed that Blaydes' MMA wresting isn't on the same level as the top guys in past HW eras, after he went 0-6 on takedown attempts against a geriatric JDS.

Evolution? HA!

I'm a huge Blaydes fan and I admit that he's super inconsistent and has weird, inexplicable holes in his game. He has so much potential that I'm beginning to suspect he won't ever realize. Not at Elevation, anyway. If he was able to magically split his camps up between EFT and Sanford or something I think he'd be able to realize more of said potential, but I digress.

Blaydes just isn’t that a good of a fighter. Some people think he will be a title contender one day..

bigi boi via ko!
Hell who knows. Arlovski is still ranked pretty decent. HW paper thin.

It didnt matter much because he still ended up beating JDS up in pretty one sided fight. If he did commit to every takedown his hands probably wouldnt have looked as good as they did.

HW version of Brunson.

I still wanna see him Vs Jones
Blaydes has a very questionable gas tank (not that we know what HW Jon's is like). This combined with the fact that taking Jon down would be extremely difficult, I'm guessing it would be like the first Cormier fight. Competitive for the first 2-3 rounds, with Jon notably outlanding him from the distance in the final two. 49-46 Jon.

You didn't watch the fight tho. It was clearly Blaydes' gameplan to take relic JDS down.
