Many claim that most MMA fighters especially in the UFC are/were on some kind of PEDS, then...

Should their life expectancy be shorter than an average healthy person? Please debate!

If you ask 100 men in a bar, "Would you take performance-enhancing drugs for a chance at millions of dollars and fame?" Some would say, "Yes".

If you ask, "Would you be willing to take $1 million dollars now if you had to cut your lifespan by 5 years?" Some would say, "Yes, I would sacrifice a few laters in my old age."

They will have a shorter life expectancy but thats more due to the violent and damaging nature of the sport.

Roids don't necessarily shorten your lifespan. There are smart and actually beneficial ways of taking them. If you take a TON of them, you'll do some serious damage to your organs. Low doses of test as you get older, while technically roids, probably aren't going to hurt you and will actually improve your quality of life.

I believe Kevin Randleman's health issues and eventual death was because of this.

Probably a combination of lots of things - massive head trauma, roid abuse, and other drug abuse. The WWE-style cocktail. He definitely liked to party in his heyday. Between taking tons of damage in fights and the cocktails of roids/party drugs, he definitely did some harm.

Look at schwartzeneger, he’s like 80 and still going strong after roiding most of his life. It’s the unhealthy (overweight, diuretics, painkillers, drugs, alcohol) lifestyle and physical damage that lead to early death of people who roid, not the roiding itself unless they are way overdoing it to the point of organ damage (liver, heart).

Shorter life expectancy sure, but it's the ones at the end

There has not been enough research done with peds, steroids, epo and so on, to give a definite answer. My guess is, that unless you abuse performance enhancers, I believe it might actually make your life longer, as your body will be in better shape, and be "younger" then its real age. If you abuse, it will destroy your body, and you might die younger.

When it comes to the juice talk, we just need to understand that in certain regions of the world, juicing is seen as not only ok, but needed to compete - Russia, USA, Brazil, and China are the main culprits, just like they are in ALL OTHER SPORTS (this is backed by data.). In these countries, doping is natural and seen as ok, which is reflected in the often very lenient punishments given for doping.

My view is that a fighter doing 200 to 500mgs of intra-muscular Testosterone ether (cypionate or enanthate) per week is not going to have any long-term negative effects.

When you start doing a bunch of different synthetic roids like Stanozolol, Dianabol, Trenbolone, and you do them to excess then yes you can have an early death a la Rich Piana, or Dallas McCarver (ok they were extreme bodybuilders, quite a bit different).
