We're one bad weight cut or failed weed result from Clay Guida being the main event this week

you can smoke weed now dude
Sorry, you're right. I was thinking about how the US female sprinter still got popped and banned, and didn't even consider that the UFC would be out ahead in terms of common-sense THC policy.

In retrospect, how much worse does this make the treatment of Nick Diaz look? Novitzky's explanation of why the UFC is changing their policy is pretty much verbatim of everything Diaz and everyone who agreed with them have said over the years.

Love Clay, but he shouldn't be anywhere near the top of any card these days, and neither should his opponent imo.

Clay was always a point fighter, but he had earned a lot of fan respect for having heart and being scrappy. I don't think his rep ever recovered from that "fight".

It makes them look awful . American policy generally when dealing with drugs, especially something as miner as weed is horrific. USADA and the UFC were just emulating that kind of toxic war on drugs political culture.
Now that more and more states are legalizing weed and the culture is more excepting athletic commissions flip the script .

Guida has had some entertaining fights but nowadays he just takes someone down against the fence and puts his face against their crotch. Never watching him fight again

Guida has JBG credentials... They are old, but may check-out.

Meh.. I only found Guida fun when he was getting beaten on by superior opponents due to his durability… haven’t really enjoyed a whole lot winning performances from Clay tbh
