Because they are at different levels now. Khabib was once at that level and before retiring was at a different level where he can command that type of fight purse. It's a process, those same 30-40k fighters all want to fight for millions too. Even if they want to act like it isn't about the money.

Because khabib will sell tickets and fill arenas. Those 30 to 40k guys can be added or pulled off any given card and the sales/views wont change one bit. One guy brings in tons of revenue and the other simply doesnt.

Khabib is already said to be worth 100$ million or more and he can easily make more money doing different projects now, he's made... dude doesn't need to fight for another dollar for the rest of his life.. he could make a brand like Conor did with Proper 12
