I looked at Ngannou vs Overeem and Junior Dos Santos...I figured he will strike in that way vs Gane...because with Stipe his legs were more crouched to deal with TDD. ...Ngannou..learned those short punches with Stipe 2 from boxing coach so I am sure he will implement it vs Gane since he won't have the speed...but will need timing then.

Francis looks to slow and will have to have a perfect game plan and his jab will have to be perfectly timed since he won't have the speed. But...after watching these fights I don't see Francis winning. Unless his clinch is good where he can move to take downs..Or just strong enough to put him against the cage. Francis has to counter but he is so much slower....he has the long range and moves forward when countering which makes it look fast but not fast enough for Gane imo.

I am so glad you brought up the fact that Ngannous KOs come from his opponents making really dumb mistakes. Stipe literally charged towards him with his hands down and gifted him that KO. Old washed up Overeem tried to stand in the pocket and trade with him. And as you mentioned Rozenstruik backpedaled not only in a straight line but tried to throw strikes while he was backpedaling.

The problem is what happens when someone doesn’t play into his game ? Francis does not create openings. He is going to end up swinging at air, frustrated and exhausted after 2 rounds of fighting with gane. This fight is going to go a lot like Adesanya vs Costa imo. Francis won’t be able to do anything when Gane refuses to trade with him and just jabs and leg kicks his way to victory. He will end up frozen because he doesn’t know what to do.

And Ciryl will have the mental edge, because first he give zero fuck in life in general, second no pressure he is the challenger, he fought Ngannou before.
In the other hand, Ngannou will feel very uncomfortable seing his old team which he did dirty to them, feel the pressure to perform, his ego will take over. I see Ngannou panicking and gass early
