‘Suga’ revealed during an episode of The BrO’Malley Show (h/t Sportskeeda) that he recently turned down a fight at the high-stakes UFC 268 PPV in New York and that Shelby was not too happy with his decision.

“I don’t even know if I’m supposed to say this…Sean Shelby was mad at me,” O’Malley said. “Dude, I don’t wanna fight in New York. It’s far, the taxes are ridiculous, and Tim (Welch) has no-Gi or no, ADCC trials that weekend. And he told me that before I even potentially had a fight. So, that’s his thing, and I’m not gonna say, ‘No. I have a fight’. We’re doing it, especially when I could fight like a month later in Vegas.”

“He said, ‘I know you’re going to be asking for a lot of money’. It’s like, no s**t! I’m pulling f**king numbers, dude,” O’Malley said. “You can’t deny that. It’s like, why do they have a problem paying someone what they’re worth? That shouldn’t be an issue. That should be like, especially when I’m blowing up like that. Those last two fights – Third-round finishes – Handing out brain damage. Like, dude, you should be like, ‘Hell yeah. I’m gonna pay you a lot. You’ve earned it’.”

I might have some kind of sympathy for him if he hadn't trashed other fighters who were complaining about the revenue split last month.

Stupidity like that is why these guys are never going to organize themselves to do anything about the position that the UFC has them in.

For me, sean o malley Is not “can’t miss” tv. I thought his stock was way higher before he got brought out on a stretcher for the leg kicks thing. Tough break, but the aura is definitely not the same.

I never really thought he had an aura. The guy has beaten no one. I don't care how he's done it. For the attention and talking, he's accomplished nothing. I don't even really want to watch him fight unless it's against a good opponent now. He's even actively ducking a Chito rematch and the UFC is helping him do it. O'Malley is meh at this point.

Pre chito Vera he had a few ko’s in a row that were really nice. Not against the best guys, but of course I wanted to tune in and find out how he’d do vs legit guys. Now I’m not entirely sure he’s talented enough to be ranked in the top 15 long term

They were nice. I'm not going to say they weren't. However, for the hoopla, attention and hubris, this guy really hasn't done anything and has lost his only legitimate fight. I have no issue with him attempting to sell himself, but he's walking around saying he's undefeated, talking about numbers he's pulling while he's on a Conor card and talking like he deserves more money than people who have accomplished so much more?

Yeah, until this guy begins to validate a single claim of his and beats a good fighter, he can GTFO with this shit, lol.

It's funny he should be thanking the UFC for giving him 90/90 and bonuses for beating cans, and he's complaining about saving on tax money.
And he’s saying everyone is afraid of him while the whole division was begging to fight him.

Why the fuck would they want him to rematch Chito? Seems like bad business.

What numbers is this clown pulling?

O'Malley hasn't headlined yet but he does good numbers on all of the UFC stuff that's posted to social media. (A lot of morons in the fanbase, so this isn't surprising.)

His weed-themed Reebok kit actually sold well and did seven figures in revenue, but they only gave him a few thousand dollars in royalties.

He was complaining about it before the Vera fight, but then started playing company man again after he lost.
