For the few remaining Dana fanboys who think he’s responsible for UFC being so great.

HW should be the flagship division of any MMA promotion. The biggest, scariest dudes on the planet. So how is Dana making the division great?

1.) Shit talk his champ, Francis. He’s cocky. He doesn’t wanna fight. We almost cut his bum ass 2 years ago, etc. Make an interim fight immediately to totally undercut his reign.

2.) Shit talk Jon Jones, who is moving up for a super fight at HW. He’s a keyboard warrior. Old man who doesn’t wanna fight. Thinks he’s Fury or AJ but he isn’t really shit.

3.) Ignore your former champ (and divisions GOAT) who you shit talked for years as champ. He’s boring, he’s inactive. Not a needle mover. Just let him sit out for two years while you lowball Francis and destroy the division. Dude is now flirting with other orgs to try to get out of this mess lol.

4.) Shit talk Curtis Blaydes. Trash him after wins because he asked for money.

Dana is literally a promoter that shit talks every one of his top heavyweights except Black Beast. He even says Gane is boring. How you gonna promote fights by trashing the fighters. Dana’s promotion be like:

“Guys just boring. No one cares about him. I wouldn’t pay to watch him. The kids just not ready yet. He needs to grow up. He’s not a star. Guy doesn’t wanna fight anyone. Anyways, please order his fight on PPV this weekend for $70 + taxes only on ESPN+“

The problem is a two way street.

You got a guy like Jones who obvious wants a big pay day that UFC can't quite justify. It isn't like Jones hasn't caused enough problems for the UFC and himself in the last 5 years and maybe they hold a little resentment towards him and rightfully so on some level. Hell, if it wasn't for his status in this sport he won't have a contract with the UFC. Hell, the guy might be in jail right now also.

Stipe seems to have been hard to schedule with for awhile but a lot of it is just BS for the most part. UFC believes you should be 100% all in and Stipe has successfully juggled his fighting career and his firefighting career that he holds very dear to his heart. At times the two sides timetables don't seem to line up and that is really the main problem. Sure, some pay issues also but that is true with most fighters at the top.

Francis right now I'm not really sure outside of him just wanting some time off. He has fought 7 times in 2 and half years. Like Jones he has also talked about wanting more money for that superfight and it's hard to argue with him on that and I don't think the UFC is opposed to paying him more for that fight, they just have a limit.

As far as Dana trashing a fighter, from the get go the guy has always been pretty straight shooter on what he thinks about fighter. Rarely does he go overboard. He isn't the type of promoter that will tell you his 145 champ who hasn't fought anyone worthwhile is best in the business like most promoters do.

I do agree this interim title fight is just BS unless Francis has personally told him I'm not fighting until spring of 2022 or something like that.

PS: HW has always been a train wreck to manage. So many of these guys can be looking at the lights at any moment against people on paper they should beat 9 out of 10 times easily. Really, look at the talent level right now. It's a few guys at the top and a roll of the dice after that. It's so hard to get a guy on a roll in that division so the UFC I believe is just hesitant on the pay side at times.

Yet despite Dana's poor behavior, hers are some facts:

"In 2019, UFC broke their financial records and reportedly had around $900 million in revenue. According to Dana White, the promotion did even better in 2020, breaking company records despite many others struggling during the pandemic."

"During the pandemic, we were up 30 percent on ESPN, then as soon as it starts to average out, we’re up 18, 20 percent this year,” he said. “Our social media growth was massive this year. We surpassed 10 million followers on YouTube, earning us a diamond play status. Second only to NBA among sports organizations worldwide. Our Instagram growth in the US went up 31.17%. We’re number two only to the NBA again. Second most video views on Instagram compared to all US sports, number two to the NBA. And the Joaquin Buckley thing was massive, broke all kinds of records.

“We broke the record (for revenue). Consumer products was up 166% this year. The list goes on and on. We killed it this year."

Apparently Dana is doing something right.

I’m shocked you could type this with Dana’s nutsack in your hands

he's not but even if he was, why tell people the product you sell is bad?
He is.

He never says the product is bad. The product is good. The fighter's attitude is not meeting the standards of the product.

As far as Dana trashing a fighter, from the get go the guy has always been pretty straight shooter on what he thinks about fighter. Rarely does he go overboard.

Yeah he's honest for the most part, but where he's completely off-base is when he says a fighter doesn't want to fight.

A pro fighter who gets into the Octagon and risks his health "doesn't want to fight"? Can you imagine anything more demeaning than saying that about a fighter?

That's a direct denigration of his honor, his manhood, his warrior spirit, his pride, everything. It's basically calling him a pussy, a wimp, a scaredy cat, and a loser.

Any fighter who really "doesn't want to fight" is completely worthless, and has no purpose. Imagine a mathematician who didn't want to deal with numbers. That's basically what Dana is saying about a fighter when he hurls this insult: he's worthless.

And it's solely for the purpose of bullying a fighter into accepting something bad for his career: a shitty fight that can't advance him, or lower pay than he thinks he deserves.

Dana is a straight shooter a lot of the time, but he's a stone-cold liar a lot of the time too. Things he says "will never happen" he makes happen all the time. And fighters who "don't want to fight" are the same people who have somehow managed to actually fight more than 99.9% of the population.

The UFC wants fighters to be popular enough to sell fights but not popular enough to sell fights without them.

Championships and Rankings are given in the UFC's best interest. It's a huge conflict of interest for a promoter to also operate as a governing body that ranks and hands out championships. Ripe for corruption.
