Clearly the guy is an elite striker who can control the pace and dictate where the fight takes place but he wasn’t able to takedown volkov once or Bigi boy when blaydes took down volkov over 10 times and overeem had Bigi boy on his back too. How tf does gane beat someone with a granite chin when he has no KO power? Big Frank is gonna pop his cherry into the shadow realm Derrick Lewis is your guys only hope for him losing or getting KO tbh. Also S/O to Latifi he’s the biggest reason Ngannou’a TDD and grappling overall has improved.

I don’t think he will even really attempt to. Maybe he will shoot a couple of times to put the takedown threat in Francis’ head, but Gane will come in with a plan to win the fight on the feet.

Gane has to survive early and then has to use his jab (he has a good jab and Francis doesn’t really have one) and his low kicks to rack up points. Gane has the better fundamentals. Ngannou is good at countering but he’s not very good leading and he can be hesitant to lead as we saw in the Lewis fight. However, he has been throwing brutal low kicks in his last couple of fights and they do help him to lead.

He doesn't have to. Gane will win the stand up.

Gane has power, but almost never throws with much power.

The guy is 245 pounds and does flying knees as explosive as any fighter ever and is fast as fuck, there's NO way he doesn't have power if he actually commits more to his strikes.
I feel like he was committing a lot more in the Volkov fight than he has in the past, Volkov was just being passive, and really safe

Saying that Cain couldn't take him down is pretty disingenuous. Cain's back and knees were beyond shot long before that fight.

The notion that Francis is just a brawler with no technique or setup is a joke that has been debunked by many great striking coaches. I don’t think gane’s a better technical fighter than Francis at all. I think he needs a couple more years tbh. He did not look like a world beater yesterday, he looked hittable and susceptible to damage but did put on a decent performance against a good opponent. I don’t think he matches up with Francis very well. He doesn’t have to power or offensive wrestling to make it dangerous for him, he’ll have to avoid Frank’s power for 5 rounds, and outpoint him most likely. From what I saw yesterday is that he is vulnerable in the pocket and from over/under but manages straight shots pretty well

Gane's a striker first and his gameplan would most likely be to fight from the outside. That being said, Jair was a seasoned kickboxer and Ngannou just decided to go apeshit and won by swinging like a madman.

Gane struggled to take down Rozenstruik, his wrestling isn't good but that's expected since he's a striker.
Cain was past his prime though and Stipe schooled him in his prime

By being the better striker and avoiding getting knocked out. There are still questions about Ngannou.
You know who else were highly skilled strikers with more credentials than gane will ever have and we’re suppose to embarrass/outclass Ngannou? One being a K1 champion and the other with over 85 Kickboxing fights with a win over a current top 4 HW in glory? Oh yea these guys that striking shit won’t work with francis he’s not just a brawler gane is going night night 6352658C-5150-4B55-9C53-65FE88F75ABD.jpegF75CD120-E6EE-4D21-8D7E-6AF470CE8AD3.jpeg

Gane has very SMOOTH stand up and moves really well on his feet.

i would like to see gane vs jon
I think Gane takes that W idk if he can beat Ngannou but I think he beats Jones. Especially since Jones doesn't wrestle anymore, unless the knee stomps end up being too much for Gane
