This was a more impressive performance than that jairzhino crap but im not convinced that he can take out big frank or even old man stipe.

It feels like hes missing something and he should consider a camp change so that he can grow more instead of being in a comfort zone. I'd like to see him utilize his very impressive karate for more finishes. Eventually someone is going to just blitz him and take him out with his current style.

He's just not a one punch knockout artist. Volkov has only been stopped by strikes once in the UFC and it was against Derrick Lewis. He's a hard guy to take out.

He’s being protected from grapplers. It’s gonna be hilarious watching his hype train evacuating the second someone puts him on his back lol

Isn't he a high level grappler himself? my pa said the same shit though lol

@Istryker Gane hasn’t even won a local French grappling tourney lol. The form on his double leg attempts aren’t even high school level here in the states lol

Tbh i cant even tell if its that or if he just flat out lacks power.

I'm almost positive he is naturally right handed. That's why when he throws his left it looks awkward and has nothing on it and why his jab is very good.

He sacrificed power for defense.

I'm familiar with this because I used to be a converted southpaw boxer but switched back to my naturally stance.

He backs people up. I don't think he lacks power. He doesn't have that lights out power, but he clearly hurts people enough to back off. He had Volkov circling outside the black lines much of the night.

I agree. He landed a lead right hook to the body that dropped Volkov's arm

There's just not a lot of wrestler at HW right now. It's not surprise he hasn't fought any.

You don't need a killer instinct to win by points.

Whether you like it or not, those are the rules.

If he can avoid damage and use his quickness to touch the opponent, then that helps prolong his career.

There were instances where he switched to Orthodox and threw a right hand that had something on it.

When he throws his left hand from a southpaw stance it looks so awkward and has nothing on it

The only problem with his style is that it gives a big puncher like Lewis or Ngannou 5 full rounds to land their goodnight shots.

Gane has a good chin but it has to have limits.

He did go 5 rounds with Rouzenstruek, so he passed that test. Volkov is a heavy hitter too but not on the level of Lewis and Ngannou.
