Edmen needs to slow down his career a bit

His team will look like geniuses if he wins this one, would have skipped one or two fights

He's ranked #10 in the premiere fighting org. Can't fight scrubs now

He punched his Ticket into the upper echelon when he KO'ed the perennial top 15 Gatekeeper in Tavares, I said it before, it wouldn't get easier for him after that....Now that could change if he loses this fight, but unfortunately it's sink or swim now, and with his Cardio, he's likely going to DROWN.

I can’t help but feel they’re throwing him to the wolves again in this fight, if he wins I’ll be wrong but they need to build him up, he has talent.

Agreed.. ufc has no interest in building stars.. throwing a 23 year old fighter with potential vs 2 veteran grappler is just dumb.

That being said.. fighters need to learn.. if youre coming from a striking background youll own that advantage always. You need to just train wrestling and bbj defense if you want to succeed in this sport. If youre a talented striker youll always hold that advantage.. but if you cant keep it standing you have nothing.

He needs to retire and do something else in my opinion. I doubt he will. I don't understand the sentiment from some fans that someone in their 20s should stick with a job they clearly are incompetent at. His last 2 fights have been devastating to his health. He gave a pro mma career a try and at didn't work for him. No shame in that

UFC doesnt really do that, what he needs to do is switch camps and take a while off training his wrestling, he did great in the first then it seems he got figured out and probably tired a bit too.

"building stars".. is this a sport though or WWE? It should be merit based, why should certain guys get to cherrypick opponents just because they might be "marketable" while other guys have to fight the murderer's row? If they think he's champion material then he should be able to win this fight regardless, he just got the gate slammed in his face back to back by Brunson and now Hermansson.

It doesn't help that he's built like he should be fighting at 170.

Physically, he looks like absolute shit at 185 (and probably trains at exactly the same weight). His opponents are probably a good 20 pounds heavier than he is when the bell rings. It's kind of dumbfounding.

Then again, with a coach like Tarverdyan, I'm surprised he hasn't been thrown to the Heavyweights.

This is a money making business. Ufc is super competitive now.. they arent creating global stars because of it. This kid shouldnt be given ease fights i agree.. but coming off his last performance.. putting him against another up and coming striker would be good match making. Having him grappled fucked 2 fights in a row is bad for business.

If a lot of people had that mindset we would be deprived of many stars of the sport

His coach is losing his shit rn LOOOL.

Tarverdyan is the dogshit on the shoe off MMA.

At this point, it seems he's only been grandfathered in because of his lucky roll with Ronda. Even her mother said the guy is less than useless (even harmful).

ANYONE who actively trains with that fraud is going to learn the hard way that all the posturing and slimy talk means absolutely NOTHING when the bell rings and you're standing across the room from someone who wants to take your head off.

I wouldn't be surprised if his one of proteges gets killed in the ring from listening to his horseshit.

UFC needs to build him up slowly. Hes taking a lot of damage facing vets. He needs a few more years to reach that elite level.
