  • Khabib is very good against the fence
  • Take the center of the octagon right away
  • Use a lot of fakes and feints, keep the fight all the way in or all the way out
  • Use my explosiveness to Take him down
  • Likes to use pro-active and Reactive Takedowns because its more economical for him
  • Khabib is a better chain wrestler than him
  • What makes GSP's takedowns efficient is his karate. He's very good at timing and getting his opponent with his explosiveness.
  • His style of takedowns don't require a lot of work. Proactive-takedown when he instigates the takedown. Reactive TD is when he baits his opponent to throw to take them.
  • GSP says another person that was good at center takedowns was Tibau in his best days
  • reiterates Khabib is better chain wrester, a la kamaru usman, but he's better at explosiveness
  • He wouldn't be afraid of Khabib's wrestling because he believes he has the capable skillset.
  • Most of Khabib's opponents were afraid of Khabib's wrestling because they didn't have the skillset to put him down.
  • He's at peace with his career and no longer wants to fight

Let’s be honest...Khabib doesn’t even need to attempt TDs in order to beat post usada gsp.

prime Gsp is another story. Georges would’ve outstruck him back then.

Prime GSP changing levels and shooting on a Khabib flurry, intredasting

Cliff notes added on that segment alone.

i wish he would've been asked what would his strategy be if Khabib beat him to the punch and was the one who attacked first and shot a takedown.

the way he's talking about the fight, it sounds like he assumes Khabib wouldn't immediately pressure him.

I would poke and prod and get backed into the cage until my back his the fence then use headmivement

just because it hasn’t worked and seems the worst course of action. I still think you need to fight khabib with your back against the cage.

Thats the thing. Khabib's pressure is legendary. Guy rarely ever backsteps

One noticeable difference between GSP and Khabib, GSP has way more tools, unpredictability between his feints / strikes / takedowns, and the ability to make specific adjustments for each opponent. You also can't get too aggressive fighting GSP because of his reactive takedowns.

Khabib has been very dominant, but he's been dominant against non high level MMA wrestlers so the same gameplan works everytime.
