We had great boxers in heavyweight like JDS, Fedor, Arlovski, Sergei, Alex and so on.
We had great boxers in lightheavyweight like Gus, Lil Nog, and so on.
We had great boxers in middleweight like Android, Mousasi, Vitor and so on.
We had great boxers in lightweight like Conor, Gomi, BJ, and so on.
We had great boxers in featherweight like Holloway, and so on.
We had great boxers in bantamweight like Cody, and so on.

I feel like the BEST boxer in welterweight history HAS to be Nick Diaz, but even though he's I think the best boxer at welterweight history, I'm sure lots of people would disagree, but I say best boxer at welterweight who would come out on top if they go head to head and who would outbox Nick?,

you know, I feel like the lack of elite boxers in welterweight has to be with the fact that it just used to be a shark tank of elite wrestlers at welterweight. In case Masvidal the lightweight journeyman is brought up, lol no.

Robbie, Masvidal, Daley, Nick, GSP is as quality of a group of mma boxers as any division could offer really. BJ, Kampmann, Rory, & Hendricks had quality aspects to their boxing games as well.

Masvidal, Robbie, Nick, Tumenov, Soldic, Daley, Hendricks, GSP
Roberto Soldic? I doubt he fights at 170 again but I would love to see him in the UFC asap! Not sure why they haven't signed him yet.

MW does have quite a few young studs already but I feel like an investment in Soldic would pay off well.

Rampage is probably the best 205 boxer off the top of my head. At 170 Marcus Davis could throw, Nick, Masvidal, and Robbie all have hands. I see your point though, but even the best boxers haven’t looked elite because it is really a grappler heavy weightclass

  1. A lot of the people you listed were not great "boxers" but rather just strikers. I love Fedor but his boxing style was sloppy boxing.
Yeah he had a chaotic brawler boxing style that worked brilliantly in MMA especially his overhand right that set up his take downs . BUT he would've been destroyed in a boxing ring with that style . Definitely not a display of the "sweet science" haha .
