Josh is one of the most underrated LWs ever. As complete as most of the best ever. Had one of the GOAT trilogies with ATG LW Giblert. Best Razor Rob, Kajan, Franca, Bang, Giblert, Healy, Nate, Noons, should've beaten Green and got near unanimously robbed against ATG LW Benson Henderson.
 
Thomson was always close to being champ (well he was SF champ, but otherwise), but also changed promotions a lot. Maybe took on tough opponents for the paydays wherever, like a mercenary. And was always in the shadow of Melendez. The "2nd best" LW in Srikeforce. He wasn't really seen as the future #1 LW in the world, but as a good contender.

He is underrated in the sense that no one ever brings him up. Even though he was one of the top LW's for a long time.

I loved his fighting style and spirit. Nate had nothing for him that night. Josh used movement and diverse striking, Nate didn't have any answers. One of my favorite fighters.

He dominated Melendez in their first fight to win the Strikeforce title.

He was SF champ and most thought he got robbed against Benson right after Benson lost the title to Pettis
 
Nate should've said they can't take punches, then Josh couldn't post that.
